Hebrews 1:1-4

1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

ALIVE! A Redemption Story: The Final Word of Jesus!

Speaker: Pastor Tim Auld
Date: Sunday, March 27, 2016
Listen Listen    Read Notes    Study Study    Watch Watch
If we believe Jesus’ final words to His church, “Surely I am coming soon”, this presupposes His resurrection from the dead (i.e. He is alive). It is a call to both believers and unbelievers alike. For the believer, the truth that Jesus is alive (i.e. raised from the dead) grants meaning to our faith. Without the resurrection, we are still dead in our sins, there is no hope past the grave and we are to be a pitied people. For the unbeliever, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and His soon coming should cause one to consider life past their approximate 70+ year journey on earth. Without hope past this earthly journey, not much makes sense when we consider the evils of this world. The call will go forth for people to consider the claims of Jesus and the Word of God as it relates to resurrection from the dead and eternity.

Speaker: Pastor Tim Auld
Date: Friday, March 25, 2016
Listen Listen    Watch Watch
For many believers, we have lost the wonder of God’s grace. We forget that we too were dead in our sins and just as vile as those who crucified and mocked Jesus in His last moments. The call will go forth to all believers to be reawakened with a sense of gratitude as we consider afresh the grace, forgiveness and kindness of God so clearly seen in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

The Controversial Jesus

Speaker: Jonathan Griffiths
Date: Sunday, February 07, 2016
Listen Listen    Read Notes    Study Study    Watch Watch
Our society shies away from claims of absolute truth. But without embarrassment or hesitation, Jesus Christ makes the stunningly bold claim that he is the way, the truth and the life. These words challenge us to faithfulness and boldness as we engage with a pluralistic society, and they give us deep hope and assurance as we face the future.

Dr.Griffiths is a teacher on staff at the Proclamation Trust in London, England and serves as tutor on the Cornhill Training Course. He is married to Gemma and they have three children.
