Psalm 89:19-52

Psalm 89 addresses God's people in a time of trial. It begins with the comfort of knowing that God has committed himself to his Anointed King, and so to his people. But it ends with the bad news that God has now rejected his King. In Jesus, we discover that this bad news is actually - surprisingly - good news of great comfort.

Dr. Griffiths is a teacher on staff at the Proclamation Trust in
London, England. He serves as tutor on the Cornhill Training Course. He previously served as assistant minister at Christ Church, Westbourne. He is married to Gemma and they have two children, Edward and Arabella.

Romans 8:31-39

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Listen Listen    Study Study    Watch Watch
Hebrews 7: 23-25

1. LIMITED: How does a better understanding of Limited drive me to bring the lost around me to Jesus?

I cannot get anyone to God on my own. Nor, can anyone get to God on their own.

2. LIMITLESS: How does a better understanding of Limitless drive me to bring the lost around me to Jesus?

Jesus is the only one willing and able to bring anyone to God.

3. PRIESTHOOD: How does a better understanding of Priesthood drive me to bring the lost around me to Jesus?

As a royal priest, I become a fellow-heir (Romans 8:17) with Jesus. I have the answer within…for the lost around me.

4. PERSPECTIVE: How does a better understanding of Perspective drive me to bring the lost around me to Jesus?

As I lavishly worship the appointed, radiant, purifier, who is eternally superior and stands apart from all others, how can I not share Him with the lost around me?
