Seniors "Meet and Greet"

Join us on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Fellowship Centre for a time of fellowship. A buffet lunch will be served.

Prayer Line Change for Summer

During the summer months if you wish to request prayer through our prayer line, please do so by contacting the church office at 613-238-8182 with your request. This change is in effect from July 1 through to September 15, 2010. 

Alpha

Interested in exploring the basics of the Christian faith?  Alpha will begin in just a few weeks with an opening dinner on September 23, 2010.   Watch the bulletin for details.

Baptism Class

There will be a Baptism Class held on Sunday, September 12 at 6:00 pm in the Fireside Room.  If you would like to take this step of obedience to the Lord, please attend this class taught by Pastor Daniel. The next Baptismal Service is scheduled for September 19, 2010 during our evening service.

Bridges

Bridges will recommence on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at 6:00 pm in Mac Hall at the Bronson Centre. For information contact Jim Maley at jmaley@metbiblechurch.ca

Special Offering

We will be taking up a Special Offering on Sunday, September 12 that will go towards Flood Relief in Pakistan. Individuals wishing to give, please designate this on your envelope. The funds will go to Samaritans Purse to assist them with their relief efforts.

Ushers Meeting

An information meeting and training session will take place on am for all Ushers, and for those interested in serving in this ministry on September 18, 2010 at 9:00 am in the Fireside Room. Please plan to join us.

Children

Christian Service Brigade (CSB)

MET Kids Club for Guys (Senior Kindergarten to Grade 12). CSB meets weekly on Friday evenings here at the church. We will have pre-registration on Sunday, September 12 after both Sunday morning services at the Children’s Ministry Kiosk in front of the gym and will kick-off the season on Friday, September 17 at 7:00 pm. Please join us!

Met Kid's Choir

As of Sunday, September 19 at 6:00 pm, The MET Kid's Choir (grades 1-6) will be meeting to practice this year’s Christmas Program.  We encourage new participants so come and join us! Drop off and pick up are at the Gym.  See you there!

Youth

Junior High Needs Your Help

The Junior High Ministry is looking for people to serve as Sponors, Canteen Workers, and Security. If you are able to help in any of the areas, please contact Pastor Mark at mhauch@metbiblechurch.ca

METYouth: Highschool Sponsors Needed for Fall

We are currently looking for dedicated adults of all ages who are willing to build into the lives of High School students. Being a Sponsor is indeed a ‘life changing ministry’. Junior High Kick-Off

Junior High parents and students are invited to attend a Kick-Off BBQ and registration on Tuesday, September 7,2010 at 6:00pm at The MET. High School Parents Meeting

High School parents are invited to attend a parents meeting on September 12, 2010 in the Theatre during the 11 am service. For information contact Pastor Joey Molloy at jmolloy@metbiblechurch.ca.

M³ - METYouth Music & Movement

A performing arts group for students in grades 6-12, will meet on Sunday, September 19 at 12:30 pm in the Fireside Room to discuss the focus, participation and schedule for the fall session. All interested youth and their parents are invited to attend. Also, if God has blessed you with the gifts and love for the performing arts, we ask you to prayerfully consider joining us as a leader. Bible Quizzing Orientation Sunday

Quizzing will start up Sunday, September 19 at 5:00 pm in Rooms 205 to 215.  All parents are welcome as this is our orientation and registration. Practices are held Sundays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Women

Free Women’s Fitness Outreach

Looking for a fun and active environment to help you lead your friends to Christ? Join us Wednesdays from 12:15 to 1:15 pm in the gym starting September 8, 2010 . We will have a Certified Fitness Instructor and brief motivational message included each week. For information contact Dina Milad through the church office, 613-238-8182.

We invite all women to join us at our fall kick-off event "Seeing Face to Face...Woman to Woman" on Wednesday, September 15 at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Centre with food, fun and fellowship. This potluck brunch will feature Jennifer Singh of Samaritan’s Purse, as she shares her involvement in working to bring God’s light and freedom to the darkest corners of the earth. Afterwards you'll have an opportunity to register for one of our exciting Bible studies, held on Wednesdays, 9:15-11:15 am throughout the fall. Childcare is provided. Women’s Evening Edition

Begins September 15 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Centre.Bring pictures or wear a T-shirt from your summer travels or vacation, and a dish to share. A bridal shower for Mary Barneston will held on September 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Fireside room. Mary will marry Jonathan Wilson on October 23rd in Roblin, Ontario.
A Memorial Service will be held for Hortense Downie on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 am in the Fireside Room.
