The SPIN for Single Adults

The SPIN is a church-wide event for all singles at The MET. The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity to discuss and explore a single person's perspective on a selected part of our regular Sunday sermon series. The sermon content with a spin toward singles.

SPINS are held after the Sunday morning service. You arrive, are greeted by a friendly face and a cup of coffee or tea. Shortly thereafter you are introduced to your table hosts. They will be your guide throughout the Spin. You will join your Table Host and other singles your age. All ages are welcome and we have table hosts of all ages. Lunch is already arranged and you start your guided discussion.

While eating lunch you have a chance to hear specific questions from our sermon series that relate to you as a single adult. And you are introduced to other singles around your table and learn their perspectives. Table hosts make sure the discussion flows comfortably for everyone.

Lunch and the table discussion wraps up about an hour after you sat down. You are free stay and chat or get on with your day.

Overall SPIN is a chance to get and give a single person's perspective on our spiritual journey as shaped by our Sunday sermon series. It is also a chance to meet and get to know a few more singles your own age and even recognize a few who are older and younger. And it helps our church gather singles together for a spiritual purpose.

MACS Single Focus

Single Focus MACS class (MET Adult Christian Studies) is an interactive dicussion-based learning community that meets regularly each week for a MACs semester. Topics very by semester but in general are focused on issues relevant to single adults.

The MACS class is lead by an experienced Bible teacher and hosting team. Anyone interested is invited to drop by the Café for a coffee and then join us in the classroom.

The SALT (Singles Advisory Leadership Team)

SALT provides overall planning and execution for the Single Focus ministry. They assist the Pastor of Singles in connecting singles to the various ministries of The MET. This included providing telephone follow up to visitor cards, meeting and connect new singles to ministry leaders where requested. SALT also meets as needed to pray for singles at The MET.
