Alpha

The MET is one of several area churches to offer the Alpha course as a way of connecting people to the Christian faith. We aspire to educate and answer questions you may have about becoming someone who is a follower of Christ. Alpha has existed for many years and is offered as a ten-week course on Thursday evenings. It is specifically designed to help you explore the basics of the Christian faith, investigating topics which include:

  • Who is Jesus Christ?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • How can I be sure of my faith?
  • Why and how should I read my Bible and pray?
  • How does God guide us?
  • ...and much more!

We provide an interesting video presentation followed by dessert and a time for discussion and questions. The setting is relaxed and welcoming so if you are investigating the Christian faith or a new Christian seeking to understand your faith better, you are invited to join us. Come on your own or bring a friend!

For more information about Alpha or to register for the next course beginning April 4 at 6:30 pm in the Fireside Room, please contact the church office, email Courtney Edwards or fill out this form, indicating in the Comments section that you would like to register for the next Alpha course.

If you would like to help prepare and/or serve food to our Alpha friends on Thursdays, email Courtney Edwards.  Thank you.
