Connections

At The MET, we love to see the Church grow as more people come to trust in Christ and grow in His likeness. As the Church Body gets bigger, though, it can be hard to know how best to connect. Recognizing this need for connection, to help foster and perpetuate our spiritual growth as individuals within the Body, we developed Next Steps. Attending a Next Steps class gives you the chance to meet one-on-one with a Deacon to help identify the next step in your journey of faith.

Here are a few more ideas to get you started:

Pray – Connecting to The MET happens best when you are connecting with God. Include prayer in your daily walk and meet weekly to pray with the body through Prayer Meetings and Small Groups.

Read the Bible – Commit time each day to the study of God’s Word and allow the Holy Spirit to speak directly into your life. Join a Small Group and study alongside other believers.

Be Intentional about Community – Whether through a Small Group at The MET or a Community Group in someone’s home, be intentional about meeting with others to pray, study God’s Word, disciple and be discipled, and reach out in love to others.

Contribute – Serve God by giving generously of your time, your skills, and your resources. Use your gifts by volunteering and stay faithful in your giving and help others to grow closer to Christ and one another.

Grow as a Family – Prioritize time with your family and grow together in unity with Christ. Do you have children involved in METYouth, AWANA, or CSB? Consider serving as a volunteer or sponsor, or join a Small Group that meets at The MET the same evening.

Reach Out – One of the best ways to get connected is to become a connector. Shovel your neighbour’s driveway, join the Compassion Team, serve on a Missions Team, or invite a friend to Alpha. In connecting others to the body of Christ, you’ll find you become more connected yourself.

Commit to Christ and His Church – Not yet baptised? Attend a Baptism Class to learn about this step of obedience to Christ. Ready to commit to your local church? Attend a Membership Class and learn about what it means to be a member of The MET.
