Elementary Ministry
ELEMENTARY - Senior Kindergarten (SK) to grade 6
Time and Location: 8:50 to 10:15 am. Check-in for your SK child takes place at any of our check-in stations in front of the Gym. After checking in bring them directly to their class in Room 223 on the second floor, across from Youth Lounge. Please pick up your child from this same location.
Our teaching time with these children will focus on "Jesus, What a Saviour!" We are created to enjoy the glory of God. But, as sinners, we fail to treasure Him as we should. Our children in this group will be led by a group of dedicated teachers, and will learn about the all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ.
PRIMARY - Grades 1 and 2
Time and Location: 8:50 to 10:15 am. Check-In Desk, main floor, located at front of Gym.
Children are full of questions. They have a God-given curiosity to find out the "How?" and "Why?" of everything around them. In our training time with these children, it is our responsibility to direct them to the most important questions of all: "who is God, what is He like, and how should I act toward God?" These are questions your child will be asking each week as we study The ABC's of God. Children will discover answers to these questions from God as they read the Bible and grow in their knowledge of the Word of God. We will have larger group teaching times with dedicated teachers, music, and small group times with dedicated mentors.
We also provide a parent resource for you. We know that you are the most important teacher your child has. For that reason we will provide you with a parent handbook that will show you every week what we are teaching your child and how to reinforce these truths in your home.
MIDDLER - Grades 3 and 4
Time and Location: 8:50 to 10:15 am only. Check-In Desk, main floor, located at front of Gym.
What is the Christian life all about? For many children who are growing up in Christian homes and attending church regularly, this question may seem to have an abvious answer. But does it? How well do our children understand the Gospel message? Has it been carefully explained to them in words that they can understand? Have we given them the whole Gospel or just bits and pieces? Have we simply assumed that they are saved because they are well-behaved and do all the right things - pray, read the Bible, memorize verses, attend Sunday school?
There are many important questions that we need to examine in reegards to children. Our teaching series is called "To Be Like Jesus." It carefully steers our children down the true, biblical road of the Gospel message. We will closely look at what it means to have a real, heart-felt relationship with a living and reigning Saviour and Lord. The Christian life is about haing Jesus as your heart's treasure and delight. It is about the purifying work of the Holy Spirit and the Word in the life of every true believer. How does this happen? By grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus alone!
We will have times of praise through music, large group teaching opportunities, and small group times as we apply God's Word to our lives.

JUNIOR - Grades 5 and 6
Time and Location: 8:50 to 10:15 am. Check-In Desk, main floor, located at front of Gym.
This year, our goal is to present the glorious truths about God. Our teaching time will call for a response toward Him and His greatness as the children study "The Providence of God." Although the providence of God is a difficult theological conecept to grasp, it is such an important part of the nature of God that is needs to be taught. It is our prayer that by the end of this study your child will be able to look at confusing circumstances, disappointments, and suffering as coming from a good God and that your child's response will be a heart of trust in the almighty, sovereign, all-knowing Ruler of the world.
We will praise God through music, and have small group times where the larger group lessons will be applied to the students' lives.
