Young Adults
Our purpose is to serve the needs of college and university students as well as young career professionals in Ottawa. This is one of the most exciting and fast-paced stages in your life but it can also present pressures and feelings of being overwhelmed at times. We know young adults are making life decisions and we believe that by meeting, sharing and centering our thoughts on the Lord, we can make sense of these challenging years.
We meet regularly with a focus on training young adults to be ambassadors for Christ and to seek opportunities for outreach in Ottawa. Solid Bible teaching is at the core of our program as God's Word gives us the foundation for faith and daily life. The Bible also enables us to build into people as they grow as ambassadors for Jesus Christ. Individual, small group and large group settings allow for open discussion, questions and answers about specific topics, and dialogue about the Bible. Our young adults confirm that when they participate in our program they feel connected, challenged and changed!
Young Adults (MET YA) at The MET have a weekly prayer, praise and Bible study time on Thursday evenings starting September 15 at 7:00 pm as well as a small group and social time which help foster even stronger relationships and encourages deeper fellowship. MET YA may also organize opportunities to serve others in the area of missions (local and international), recreational events, and retreats.
