Why did we decide to purchase 31 Auriga Drive?
• The congregation approved the purchase to prepare for future ministry needs, explore possible expansion options, and secure adjacent property for long-term strategic flexibility.
Why can't we walk away from the agreement?
• We pursued this option and contacted the sellers, but they were not willing to proceed in that direction. Further advice indicated that completing the purchase is the most responsible financial and legal option available. Ending the agreement would carry significant cost and risk.
How will the building be used?
• In the near term, our focus will be on securing commercial tenants. Over time, the building gives us flexibility for future ministry needs – whether expanded ministry space, strategic partnerships, or even the possibility of selling the property and using the proceeds to fund future ministry options. The options are many, and we trust that God will direct future leadership in how best to use this building for His purposes.
How does the Auriga Building Campaign work?
• The Auriga Building Campaign is a designated avenue for the congregation to help meet the commitments tied to the purchase. Giving toward the Campaign is above regular tithes and offerings.
Does giving to this fund affect other ministries?
• Regular giving continues to sustain all ongoing ministries and missions. The Auriga Building Campaign is a separate invitation for those able to give additionally.
Is my giving secure?
• Yes. We are implementing stronger cybersecurity measures and offering secure channels for large gifts. More details will be provided directly on the giving page.
How can I stay informed?
• We will be sharing regular updates through Sunday announcements, email communications, and our website. Stay connected by subscribing to emails from The Met. You can also contact the Board by email.
