Serve at Celebrate Missions 2025

Schedule

Celebrate Missions is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the work of Met Missionaries and ministry partners. Throughout the week, each ministry will have the opportunity to welcome a missionary or ministry partner to their regular program, where they will share how God is at work both locally and around the world. In addition, we look forward to several special events which will be open to our whole church family, providing opportunities to hear stories from around the world, pray for our ministry partners and global missions, and be better equipped and encouraged in the work God is doing.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 26 to Saturday, November 1.

Celebrate Missions Projects

The "M" Bible Adaptation & Translation Project

ENGAGE

In South Asia, the "M" people group of roughly ten million Muslims still has no access to Scripture in their heart language. Since 2014, a small local team supported by Frontiers Canada has been working to adapt and translate the Bible into their dialect.

Partnering with a national Bible translation organization, the team is using internationally recognized best practices and a software to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance. Two versions are underway: one designed for academic study among Muslim scholars and another for everyday readers in the community.

A gift of $12,500 will go towards complete community checking, editing, and testing, bringing God’s Word closer to ten million people still waiting to hear it in their own language. (Details withheld for security).

Afghan Outreach Project

ENGAGE

The Afghan Outreach Project seeks to reach Afghans, both in their homeland and across the diaspora, with the hope of the Gospel through the printing and distribution of 5,000 evangelistic booklets in Dari and Pashto languages. Written from within the Afghan cultural worldview, these resources help churches and believers share Christ effectively among Afghans in Canada, Europe, and beyond.

The project is led by Lumens of Truth, working through trusted global partners to translate, print, and distribute the booklets over the coming months.

A gift of $12,500 will put the Gospel directly into Afghan hands, equipping local believers and sparking new conversations about Jesus in communities that have had little or no exposure to the Good News.

Three Church Planting Conferences in 2026 in Morocco

EQUIP

Three Church Planting Conferences in 2026 will be led by our national missionaries in Morocco to strengthen and equip new believers and church leaders across the country. Three regional gatherings are planned: in the North, South, and East, bringing together around 85 participants for teaching, fellowship, and encouragement.

Each conference will be taught by "S", alongside local leaders whom The Met supports. These trainings will nurture spiritual maturity, unity, and gospel growth among emerging churches in Morocco.

A gift of $12,500 will help equip new believers and empower national leaders as they advance Christ’s church in Morocco.

Four 'Successful Leadership' Trainings for 100 *BMB leaders

EQUIP

The 'Successful Leadership Training' (2026), led by our missionary Amal Gendi in partnership with PALM (Preparing Arab-world Leaders for Ministry), will equip emerging Christian leaders from North Africa, Egypt, and the Gulf Region. Four trainings will be held through 2026, with 25 participants in each, focusing on servant leadership, integrity, teamwork, and spiritual maturity grounded in Scripture.

Participants will develop clarity in calling, personal growth plans, and mentoring skills to reproduce faithful leaders across the Arab world.

A gift of $12,500 will help cover expenses for these regional trainings, equipping nearly 100 emerging leaders with biblical and practical tools to lead, disciple, and serve with integrity across the Arab world.

*BMB refers to “Believers from Muslim Backgrounds”

*Amounts received in excess of $50,000 will be used to support other project requests received from our missionaries throughout the year. A fund utilization report will be shared in the annual report.
