“And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
to give knowledge of salvation to his people
in the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God,
whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high
to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace."
Every Christmas offers us a new opportunity to remember, consider and worship God for what He is doing and has done for us. This season, we will be spending time in Luke’s Gospel, rediscovering how even before Christ was born, God’s salvation plan was at work. In week’s leading up to Christmas Eve, we will ponder on how God used John the Baptist to pave the way for Christ’s coming. Let’s take some time to worship God this season as we celebrate “The Sunrise of Salvation”.
Dec 11 | 6PM & 8PM
Our Carols by Candlelight service is a great way to kick off the Christmas season. It is also a great way to start remembering the real reason we celebrate Christmas. God's love is poured out through the sending of His Son for us. We will be reflecting on the coming of the Messiah through an evening of song. We will also be providing some nice refreshments afterwards for a time of fellowship.
Dec 24 | 10AM*, 4PM & 6PM
In today's culture, it is very easy to look for Christmas in the wrong places. We find ourselves getting busy with everything other than the one thing that matters; That Jesus came down from Heaven as a baby and changed the world forever. He is our Emmanuel - God with us. We would love for you to join us as we gather in celebration this Christmas Eve. We will be spending time in God's word, singing songs of worship, and celebrating the coming of our Saviour. We hope to see you there!
*METKids will be available for children aged newborn to 5 years old at the 10AM service. Space is limited, no registration required.
Starting Jan 8 | 7PM
God's love doesn't stop after Christmas is over. We invite you to take your next steps this year through Life Explored. This is an exposé of the little gods that promise us so much happiness, yet deliver so little. As it explores the Bible story (creation, fall, redemption, new creation), Life Explored shows how our deepest desires for happiness can only be satisfied in one person, Jesus Christ. The best gift God can give us is himself. Join us to uncover what is it that we’re really living for, and see how, in Christ, God meets their deepest desires for happiness.
